An absolutely perfect session. Steve and I had a big 'Limit Special' breakfast in the cafe, before rigging up in the car park. I was first on the water soon followed by Steve and perfectly powered up with my 5m on my little wave board. I made a few jumps on my first run out through the waves and then headed off out into the bay at full speed over the rolling swells. Out the back there were some big swells well over head high and we had a excellent time racing down these on the way back in.

A couple of people were out surfing, so riding the waves on the inside was also good with some really good backside waverides. On one in particular I made about 20 turns up and down the wave weaving in and out of the surfers.

At one point I saw Steve get catapulted, so I decided to drop into the water beside him and have a rest. As i did so my foot got stuck in the footstrap and a swell tippedmy board over and swung it around, wrenching my foot so that I ended up stuck face down in the water still trying to free myself!! I managed it, but once I got off the water later my foot started hurting, and right now as I type this I can barely walk on it and I'm in quite a bit of pain. Its pretty swollen, but hopefully its just bruised.

Ben, Stevebus and Richard turned up at around midday, but as soon as they got on the water the wind dropped. Steve and I packed up as we had had enough anyway, but the others were all about to rig bigger kit as it was still looking good out there. I have a feeling it picked up again anyway as its certainly been blowing at this end of the beach. I had planned on going out either for another windsurf or a surf around about now, but the fact that I can't walk at the moment has put an end to that plan.

A full five-stars though as the conditions were perfect, good winds, good waves, the sun was shining and I was sailing well.... Wooohooo!!
